In fact, water resistance is one of the characteristics of Adriatic leather. However, we often receive inquiries from customers asking, "Is it really okay if it gets wet?" So, we decided to test it out!
When left wet for 1 hour
After dropping water droplets on the Adriatic leather used in COVERARY and leaving it for 1 hour, I wiped it off. As a result, the water did not penetrate the surface of the leather, and there was almost no damage from water exposure.

No matter how water-repellent Adriatic leather is, if there are scratches on the surface, water will seep in from the scratch within 15 minutes.
Basically, genuine leather is considered weak against water, but with the water-repellent properties of Adriatic leather, if it gets slightly wet, quickly wiping it off should not cause significant damage.
However, if water seeps in through scratches on the leather surface, the leather fibers may expand and become stiff, or stains may occur. As a precaution, using a leather care spray before use can help prevent water stains and dirt.
